About Leroy Hyson II
Leroy Hyson II is a multifaceted music professional, educator, and creative entrepreneur whose work spans vocal coaching, vocal performance, music direction, production, and sound engineering. A graduate of Towson University, where he studied voice, Leroy co-founded the viral a cappella group The Trills in 2015 while still a student. Under his creative leadership as Music Director, The Trills have grown into an international sensation with a social media following of over 4 million across platforms, with appearances on The Kelly Clarkson Show and multiple NFL games.
In addition to his work as a performer and producer, Leroy is an experienced vocal coach, committed to helping singers develop confidence, technique, and artistic identity. Leroy’s clients include world-renowned vocal coach and broadway actress Cheryl Porter, television and broadway actress Peyton List, RnB Recording Artist, Joyce Wrice, and Michaela Murphy, the voice of Toph from Avatar: The Last Airbender. Whether guiding beginners discovering their sound for the first time or helping established performers refine their technique and emotional clarity, Leroy creates a supportive, empowering environment where vocal growth feels achievable, joyful, and deeply personal.
Leroy is also the founder of Hyson House, a production company designed to guide beginner to intermediate songwriters through the process of writing, producing, and releasing their own original music. With a focus on accessibility and empowerment, Hyson House bridges the gap between creative vision and professional-quality execution—providing artists with the tools, mentorship, and environment to bring their music to life.
With a strong foundation in music production and hands-on expertise in both live and studio sound engineering, Leroy offers a rare combination of artistic insight and technical precision. Whether he’s arranging a complex vocal piece, mixing a single, running live sound, or guiding a young songwriter through their first release, his goal is always the same: to create music that feels alive, intentional, and true to the artist behind it.
At the heart of everything Leroy does is a deep love for people and for music. He is a proud husband and father to one son, and he brings that same care, joy, and integrity into every project, performance, and person he works with.
